1. Registration. We have a number of registration submissions in at the moment that are dragging and uncertain. The first is for our registration under the Private Volunteer Organisations Act. This registration is required for the social/community work we do with street girls and for the preschool at OSTA. We have been allowed to continue these projects on a temporary basis as our application is already submitted. In fact the ministry for social welfare have even referred several girls to us. However while they support us on the ground there is much suspicion of NGO's and so it is very difficult to get the actual registration and therefore we are still not legally allowed to do the work. Please pray that our application will be considered at the June sitting.
2. Secondly, please pray for the 'Change of Use' application for the OSTA property, from a hotel to a residential / training institution. We thought that this had all gone through a while ago. However recently we got a letter saying that we needed to reapply. We have done this and are awaiting their approval. They give 3 months for the approval process and if it you haven't received notification within the 3 months then the application is taken as refused and we will have to apply again. The 3 months is up at the end of May. Please pray that these registrations will be approved quickly.
